Now your personal info will be super duper secure:SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Google Inc. is releasing its own Web browser in a long-anticipated move aimed at countering the dominance of Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer and ensuring easy access to its market-leading search engine...I'm not really sure I understand Google's train of thought here - the reason IE is so popular is not that it's any good, but that it comes as the default on most PCs, and most people don't care enough to even examine alternatives*. So it seems to me that Google is just giving the same 25% of people who already don't use IE another chance to not use it.
Which I'm sure they appreciate, especially since those are the 25% of people who are most likely to enjoy having their personal data harvested by Google, right?
* The rest already use Opera or Firefox.
