Here we go again

After beating the trash out of #10 Garden City last week, the FSCC Greyhounds went back on the road to face their second top-10 ranked team in 2 weeks, this time in the KJCCC playoffs. Final Score: Fort Scott 21, Coffeyville 6.

The #7 Red Ravens beat FSCC 24-6 the second week of the year to hand them their 24th consecutive loss going back four seasons. Since that game, FSCC has been victorious in every outing but one: an overtime loss to #1-ranked Butler, who won their playoff game today as well. FSCC will have the chance to avenge that loss on Sunday when they meet the Grizzlies in the championship game at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.

What I can't figure out is where a team that hadn't won a game since 2003 got all that talent. The Topeka Capitol-Journal says it came from Topeka. Success has many fathers, I guess...
